Elephant Cake

My client wanted a cake for his partner who loves elephants! We eventually settled on a 2D elephant walking through the trees with the happy birthday at the top like sky writing. The photographs aren't that good due to the fading light (mental note - must buy a daylight lamp!).
The feedback I received:
‘The Cake was perfect and she adored it big time! We've just eaten some as we went out for the day Sunday, and it tasted delicious!’

(I couldn't get this next picture to load the right way round!)

Botanical Gardens Cake

Last month I made a wedding cake for a celebration at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. It is a beautiful venue close to the city centre but an oasis of calm. My husband and I are actually members of the gardens and love to visit at all times of year to see how the garden is developing and changing. Here are a few pictures I found:

I found this fantastic photograph of the gardens in the 1951:

The wedding cake consisted of three tiers of fruit, chocolate mud and carrot. Hand painted foliage, butterflies and dragonflies adorned the sides with small 3D butterflies finishing off the design.

Their email of thanks included: "We had a perfect day and Caroline's work of art was the icing on the cake."
